Talia: I don't think Lord henry had much to do with Dorians distorted soul because either way he would have been exposed to the real world. Where people judge others based off their apperances and the things they do.
Tali: If Dorian had not been influenced by Lord Henry, I think his soul would be less distorted, but not completely clean either. Although Henry would not have had the bad influence that he did on Dorian, there is not really any other good influence in Dorian's life to keep him from becoming the same person he has become. Because of Basil, he already has an ego, so I believe someone one else would have to influence his for the better to have his soul undistorted.
Heidi: Lord Henry and Basil are indirectly like Frankenstein. Although they were not "trying" to create someone, they did and they had to have known it, but, instead of trying to right they wrongs, they, like Frankenstein, avoid the situation at all costs and take no responsibility for what they have done. Much like the monster, Dorian was doomed by his creator from the start. Dorian, I believe, had more of a chance than the monster, but both are products of someone's curiosity. I believe that Dorian is responsible for his action;however, Basil and Lord Henry are not completely innocent.
Tali: I think there is still hope for Dorian. I think hope is one of the only things that can remain after everything else is gone. Kind of how we talk about in Life of Pi, you can't lose hope or you lose everything. I think that Dorian has lost a lot and a lot has changed in a short time, but he holds our hop that things will change for the better. He still has hope for himself. Because of this, I believe that there is still hope for Dorian because he still has hope inside of himself.
